Discover the splendour of Piedmont, one of Italy’s largest and most picturesque regions, framed by the towering Alps. At its heart lies Turin, once the seat of the powerful Savoy dynasty, and now a vibrant city brimming with history and charm.
Piedmont is renowned for its exceptional cuisine and is recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage site for its gastronomic contributions. Here, you’ll savour some of Italy’s finest offerings, including the world-famous white truffles and exquisite wines like Barolo and Barbaresco. Under the guidance of Gino, a local professional chef, you’ll be immersed in authentic Italian cooking. In his private kitchen, Gino will introduce you to the art of traditional cuisine, focusing on simple yet flavourful recipes made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. You’ll even have the opportunity to join a truffle hunt and learn the secrets of this prized delicacy.
Our journey continues with explorations of Piedmont’s lush, unspoiled countryside, where we’ll enjoy leisurely walks through tranquil landscapes and traditional farms. Along the way, we’ll visit iconic towns like Alba, Barolo, and Barbaresco, each offering a unique insight into the region’s rich heritage and winemaking traditions.
The experience culminates on Day 7 as we return to the elegant city of Turin, where the Flavours of Italy tour comes to a close, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Piedmont’s culinary treasures and stunning vistas.
