During your stay, you will have the opportunity to venture along pristine walking trails that meander through lush forests, past sparkling waterways, and along secluded beaches. This area is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 250 species of birds recorded, including the striking azure kingfisher and the majestic white-bellied sea eagle. Croajingolong National Park is a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, recognised for its rich biodiversity, which also includes 52 species of mammals and 70 varieties of native wildflowers.
One of the highlights of your tour will be an unforgettable journey on the Mallacoota Inlet with local expert Dale Winward. Aboard his vessels, the Lochard and Gipsy Princess, you’ll explore the vast network of inland waterways. The inlet is fed by the Genoa and Wallagaraugh Rivers and features two expansive lakes—Top Lake and Bottom Lake—with an incredible 320 kilometres of shoreline to discover. At historic Gipsy Point, you’ll have the chance to cruise along the Wallagaraugh River, renowned for its unspoiled beauty and abundant birdlife.
