Walking Tours Australia & NZ
Our philosophy is simple - to get out of the cities and into the countryside where you can discover the charm and beauty of Victoria, Southwest WA, the coastal gems north of Sydney, the rainforests of southern Queensland, the wilderness of Tasmania and the South Island of New Zealand. Walking with a small, like-minded group is the best way to explore these beautiful areas. It is important to have time to "smell the roses", not to rush through but to soak up the atmosphere. We are great believers that the journey is what matters, not the destination! All our holidays in Australia & New Zealand are guided - we are not there to overload you with facts and figures but discreetly share with you the wonderful places we have discovered during our "journey".

About gourmet food and wine in Australia and New Zealand
Australia and New Zealand are two countries that share a love of gourmet food and fine wine, with each offering its unique culinary delights. In Australia, gourmet food is centered around fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with a focus on seafood and grilled meats. Examples of Australian gourmet food include dishes like Moreton Bay Bugs, which are a type of lobster-like crustacean found off the coast of Queensland, and Barramundi, a type of fish that is often served grilled or pan-fried. New Zealand's gourmet food scene is similarly focused on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, with a particular emphasis on lamb and seafood. Examples of New Zealand gourmet food include dishes like Bluff Oysters, which are a type of oyster found in the southern part of the country, and New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussels, which are prized for their sweet, tender meat. Both Australia and New Zealand are also known for their fine wine culture, with regions like the Barossa Valley and Marlborough producing some of the world's best wines. Popular varieties include Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Overall, the gourmet food and fine wine culture of Australia and New Zealand reflect the countries' shared love of fresh, locally sourced ingredients, and the unique culinary traditions that have developed over time. |
